Dragline DataCustom websites, plugins and apps

Custom plugins, written for your website only.

When your site needs a feature, we write it for your site. It does exactly what your business needs, it loads only the code it uses, and you control it from your management app.

What a custom plugin is

A plugin is a feature added to a website, like a quote calculator, a booking form or a photo gallery.

Most websites borrow their plugins from outside companies. The same plugin is installed on thousands or millions of other sites, each one carrying code for features it never uses.

A Dragline Data plugin is written for one website: yours. It is part of the site from the start, it matches your design, and its settings live in your management app.

Only the code you need

Shared plugins are built to do everything for everyone. A custom plugin does one job for one site, so pages stay light and fast.

No outside vendor to wait on

If something needs to change, you call us. There is no plugin company, no forum post and no surprise update that breaks your site.

No yearly license fees

You are not renting the feature. It is built into your website and managed from your app.

A smaller target

Popular plugins are common targets because one flaw can reach millions of sites. A plugin written only for your site is not shared with anyone.

Plugins we build for local businesses.

A few common examples. If your business needs something that is not on this list, describe it and we will tell you how we would build it.

Quote and estimate calculators

Visitors answer a few questions and see a starting price, so you get better-qualified leads.

Booking and request forms

Appointments, service calls or tour requests, with only the fields your business needs.

Service galleries

Project photos sorted by service, so a seawall page shows seawalls and a kitchen page shows kitchens.

Products, menus and inventory

Lists you update from your app, like plants in stock, menu items or available offices.

Service-area tools

Show customers which towns you cover and send them to the right local page.

Directories and listings

Business listings, events or resource pages that grow as you add entries.

Lead routing

Send each form to the right person or inbox based on the service someone picks.

Specials and seasonal offers

Turn a promotion on or off from your app without editing a single page.

Review requests

A simple way to ask happy customers for a Google review right after the job.

How a custom plugin gets made.

Plugins follow the same simple process as the rest of your site.

  1. Describe the job

Tell us what the feature should do in plain words. For example, "customers should get a rough price for a fence before they call."

  2. We scope it

We work out the questions, rules and screens it needs, and include it in your one written price.

  3. We build and test it

The plugin is written into your site and tested on phones, tablets and desktops with real examples.

  4. You control it

Settings, lists and content for the plugin show up in your management app, so you can change them yourself.

Custom plugin questions.

Ask anything else on the contact page.

How is this different from a regular plugin?

A regular plugin is made by an outside company and installed on many thousands of websites. A custom plugin is written by Dragline Data for your site alone, so it only does what you need and nobody else controls it.

What does a custom plugin cost?

It depends on how much the feature does. Plugins are scoped with the rest of your project and included in your one written price, so you know the cost before any work begins.

What if I need a change later?

Tell us what should change and we update it. Because we wrote it, there is no outside vendor to wait on. Many day-to-day changes, like list items or prices, you can make yourself in your management app.

Do custom plugins work with the management app?

Yes. They are built together. Anything you are likely to change, like options, prices, photos or list entries, is set up so you can edit it from your app.

Have a feature in mind? Describe it.

Tell us what you want your website to do for customers. We will reply with how we would build it and what it would cost.
